In Memoriam

There is a well known quotation from Benjamin Franklin which advises that “…….. in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes”.  The inevitability of the loss of our beloved dogs doesn’t diminish the joy they bring into our lives, the love we cherish on them and the reciprocal feelings we share.

One never counters the pain of grief with the blessings of love, never calculates whether it is better to not feel the hurt of loss by avoiding the happiness of relationships. Our dogs are such a part of our lives, and sadly, their lives are so much shorter than ours. We love and lose, we continue to fall in love with each and every one of the dogs that crosses our path.

We shall never forget any of them.

“What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, For all that we love deeply becomes a part of us.”

Helen Keller
